Donnie Darko
It happens to be one of the real cult classics without much box office success – at least not in the time when it came to light for the first time. This film looks dark, twisted as well as atmospheric. You get to see pretty surreal centering on that huge humonoid bunny rabbit playing an evil villain role. If you watch it with friends, they will surely talk hard among themselves.
The Blair Witch Project
If you want to take a look at the most horrific movies of all times, you just can’t leave out this one. It came to be known as a solid game-changer just when it was released for the first time. It drew inspiration from the hype of modern day reality television. And you get the touch of maximum realism. There are lots of camcorder footage containing wobbly camera shots as well as hysterical monologues that came from a bunch of students who went into a creepy forest for investigating the legend of the blair witch.
Shaun of the Dead
The thing is that, not all the horror movies out there are literally horror. In fact, some horror movies with comedy touch were big time success in the box office. This movie might not have the biggest success ever, but it surely is worth passing time watching. It is one of the best horror movies of its genre among the British films.
The Silence of the Lambs
The original movie is really rocking. It is one of the most horrific all time best Hanibal Lecter flicks. If you love horror movies, you will love how that famous cannibal keeps toying with those shaky FBI agents. Most of all, he keeps doing what he does best throughout the movie. Brilliant acting won it a few awards as well.
Scream
This is yet another one nobody could leave out from the all time horror list. No matter what your personal taste is about horror movies, you got to give this move some credit for the horror it brings forward. But on top of all, it brings lots of hints for fun loving fans to track. And the viewers do love the humor that was cleverly thrown in. despite all that, the elements in it were massively genuine.
The Ring
If you love the touch of horror here and there, you just can’t miss out that little horrific girl in this movie. Just imagine how she looks or the way she was moving. To add more horror to the scenes she keeps up popping up scarily. Overall, the movie was successful in emitting the look and feel of evil. The story is very well written too.
The Exorcist
Yeah! You guessed right! There really cannot be any horror list without the exorcist. There really is a little something about the young girl playing as villain of horror flicks. It really gets you. The reason people are so much fond of it is that, there were occasional paradoxical mix that went hand in hand with the innocence of that sweet young girl. It is a real wonder how evil was meshed with her innocent image.
28 Days Later
Do you love zombie movies? Then this one is your thing. And it is also true that there will not be any messing around. It is as messy as it gets. At least, that is the feeling you get watching those humor blended well with the blood, guts, gore and brain eating or zombie killing.
Brain Dead
This movie is the personal favorite of many people out there. Some people have called it one of those absolute epitomies of the ‘so bad it’s too good’ type horror movies, which need not to deal in some jokes that you have to laugh out with. You got to have a heart for zombie movies to like it as there are zombie tea party and zombie sex. Or, how about that hero running all around the house packed with those brain eater zombies? This is one of the classics.
Final Destination
Though this movie might not be the scariest there is, but it is true that some people who watch it literally have to jump off their sofa watching it. What could you say about the scene where that girl gets caught mid sentence as the speeding bus hits her? You can’t get the whole picture till you watch it. But it does give you what people wants from horror movies.
